Every family wants to do Kathina once in their life for their ancestor.
ReplyDeleteWhen my father died, we waited 15 years to achieve the goal. It took 15 years to collect the money to do Kathina. All of my relatives pay a lot.
It was a time to celebrate - be happy and funny. We have mollum (Esaan dancing) and many people came. Many people came from many villages. It was good that we have no alcohol. We killed a cow so there was food for everyone.
Though I am a Christian, and didn't see the temple ceremony, I was happy to help everyone enjoy themselves.
